Have you been delayed or canceled on Southwest Airlines this Summer?? We were delayed a few weeks ago on our trip home from Hawaii. We had a layover in Las Vegas and we had a two hour delay there followed by an hour wait for baggage due to some airline issues. This caused us to get home around 3:30am. I honestly had forgotten about it and heard through Social Media that Southwest was giving LUV Vouchers to customers who have been delayed or canceled and it was easy to do if you were willing to message them!! I went through these steps and they sent me a $75 LUV Voucher for each member of my family so $450 in total!! It was SO easy!
What I did:
- Gather your Confirmation Number from Southwest.com or the App.
- Message Southwest on Twitter. You can email them but Twitter is faster.
- Keep your message simple and tell them what happened and what inconvenience it caused. Include your confirmation number.
- Be Nice and Be Polite.
- No matter the outcome be sure to thank them for listening and their time. This could help for future issues since they can see your prior messaging.
- This really is only worth your time if your delay was over an hour.
